CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA | CHICKEN TIKKA RECIPE

Chicken tikka masala is a dish of chunks of roasted marinated chicken in a spiced curry.

INGREDIENT -


2 Tbsp garlic & ginger Paste
1 tbsp turmeric Powder
1 Tbsp Garam masala,
1 tbsp coriander Powder
1 tbsp cumin Powder
1 Cup Curd
Salt to taste
2 tbsp Kashmiri Mirch Powder
500gm Chicken
3-4 Medium size Onion (finely chopped)
1-3 Tomato


FOR THE MARINATION -


Mix garlic, ginger, turmeric, garam masala, coriander, and cumin in a small bowl.
Add curd, salt, and half of spice mixture in a medium bowl; add chicken and coat it well. Cover and chill for around 1-2 hours.


FOR MAKING TIKKA - 


Heat a pan and add some butter in it. Let the butter melt and then add chicken pieces and stir fry them until they become crisp and brown.


Keep the chicken aside and let's move on to prepare the masala.




MAKING TIKKA MASALA -


1. Add some ghee in a pot and add the following Bay Leaf (tejpatta) , cumin, green and black cardamom, one stick cinnamon and stir it.

2. Add the onion paste and Fry it till it turns golden brown.

3. Add tomato puree of two tomatoes along with some ginger garlic paste. Fry it for around 3-4 mins

4. Add coriander powder, red chilli Powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder and some pepper powder. Cook them until the oil separates.

5. Add the chicken tikka pieces and fry them in the mix.

6. Add some water and bring it to boil and adjust the consistency

 



Finally garnish it with some ghee and coriander leaves.

 




SERVE IT HOT WITH RICE.
