Methi thepla are
delicious flatbreads made from fresh fenugreek leaves, whole wheat flour and
gram flour (besan). Methi thepla are
light as well as healthy.They can be munched anytime of the day.
Ingredients -

1 cup wheat flour ⠀
½ cup fenugreek leaves/methi leaves, finely chopped⠀
2 tbsps coriander, finely chopped⠀
1 tbsp yogurt ⠀
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste ⠀
1 tsp red chilli powder⠀
½ tsp turmeric powder⠀
1 tsp coriander powder⠀
2 tsps oil + for shallow frying. ⠀
Salt to taste , Water as required⠀

Method - ⠀

1. Add wheat flour, fenugreek leave, coriander leaves, yogurt, red chilli
powder, coriander powder, ginger-garlic paste, 1 Tbsp oil and salt in a bowl.
Mix together.

2. Add water to this, as required and knead a smooth soft dough. ⠀

Grease the surface of the dough with oil, cover the dough with a muslin cloth
and set aside for 20 minutes. ⠀
4. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll into pedas. ⠀
5.Dust flour on worktop and roll the pedas into discs (like rotis). ⠀

Heat a Tawa on medium flame and place the raw methi thepla on it. ⠀
7.
When it starts bubbling on side, turn over. Spread ½ tsp oil and flip again. ⠀
8. Apply oil on the other side, press with a spatula and cook for 30 seconds.

7.Flip it again and transfer to a plate. ⠀
8.Repeat
the process for the rest of the dough.

Serve hot with Curd or Pickle.
